By placing an order and making payment on our gemstoneriver® website, you acknowledge that you are authorised to make purchases using the card and payment details that you provide for the purchase.

Payment and dispatch of your purchase
Payment is taken only when you confirm your order, we will show the total price before you make payment.

We accept Visa, Mastercard, Solo, Electron, Maestro, American Express, and PayPal. Our payment gateway is via  PayPal who provide a secure encrypted transmission channel of your payment details. We will not have access to your card details since payment is processed by PayPal who are trusted worldwide as they have stringent and proven track record in supporting online transactions.

We also accept cheques/postal orders, please email if paying by cheque/postal order.
Please note that your purchase will be shipped after cheque has cleared, please allow five to seven working days.

Payment for bespoke Products 
We would expect the customer to make at least half (50%) payment of the cost price before we make the item. we will send you pictures during the design and hand-making process to ensure you are happy with the progress.

Shipping and delivery
Once your payment has cleared, we will send an email to confirm your order. Your purchase will be sent within two to five working days via Royal Mail recorded mail (this requires a signature at delivery address but does not have to be yourself signing for this). Delivery via Royal Mail usually takes one to two days (however, should Royal Mail experience delays this may take slightly longer, although they are quite good in keeping their service promise). The post office local delivery office will keep your package for a number of days should they fail to deliver at the address you provided, the customer is obliged to collect within the specified time as stated on the postman's failure to deliver notifcation slip. We would not be able to issue a refund on postage and packaging should the customer fail to pick the package up in time from the local post office mail depot (if the package has been returned back to us).

Back Orders
If an item becomes out of stock after you have made payment, we will contact you as soon as possible to advise of a delivery time; we will ensure this is done as soon as possible. We can offer you a refund should you wish not to wait.

Our commitment to you: product image and presentation
We try as best as we can to show product design and colours by providing pictures that closely match the product in real life, the image representation may differ slightly due to camera and lighting or it may also be due to monitor resolution settings. We do, however, do our utmost best to provide picture/photographic images that closely match the actual product. We describe components e.g. gemstones, beads and accessories as provided by our suppliers and ensure we use Nickel free metal components.

Returns and Refunds
We hope you are happy with your purchase but in the unlikely event of not this being the case,
gemstoneriver® will welcome your feedback and encourage you to contact us immediately or within 7 working days. Please send an email quoting your order number and a briefly describe the reason for your request to exchange or refund. We aim to ensure our customers are happy with the products and experience they receive from us and gemstoneriver® will endeavour to make sure you are happy and satisfied. We are happy when you are!

For refunds: If the return is due to design/manufacture fault,
gemstoneriver® will aim to assess your request within 30 days. We will respond to your request and re-imburse the cost of the defective product minus postage, please note that the customer is responsible for sending the item back to us. We recommend that you send this via recorded mail and keep the receipt for tracking purposes so as to avoid your mail/request not reaching us via standard mail.

We cannot accept returns on pierced items for hygienic reasons, bespoke items with your measurement specification unless there is a manufacture/design fault. We generally do not offer refund on one item only that was part of a set as you will not be allowed to keep the other part of the set.

Note for bespoke/special customised orders
Please ensure that you have the correct specification for bespoke items and also choose the colours of your choice.
For bracelets: measure your wrist (the wider part or where the bracelet will be worn on your arm e.g just around your writst bone) in centimetres and add a further 2.5 or 3 cm (i.e. if your wrist is 16cm please add a further 2.5cm - so quote 18.5cm when you contact us for your customised item request). This ensures that there is some dangle/not too tight.  Alternatively, send an email via for further conversation and just to ensure we both agree on your specification need and requirements.

Customer Privacy
We will not sell your personal data to third parties. We operate in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988.

We take your privacy very seriously and will not share your personal details with third parties unless required by law enforcement authorities. 
gemstoneriver® will use your personal information for the purpose of processing your order, we have no access to your credit/debit card details as these are processed by Paypal secure connection.
We will contact you with order status confirmation emails and from time to time may write to you with special offers or discount codes. Occasionally
gemstoneriver® may ask you to take part in surveys to improve our products and website. (Please let us know if you do not wish to receive these promotional emails).

Caring for your Jewellery
Please store your jewellery separately from each other and away from light; abrasive materials and avoid exposure to perfumes and oils as this may speed the process of tarnishing and wear/tear to the metal plated material. Continued use and sweat will naturally cause wear and tear so it is prudent to look after your product to prolong its fashion life.
